Use Tabple without leaving the page
Ever switched tabs just to find a sentence you copied, check today’s tasks, or see how long until your next meeting? Tabple’s browser extensions are made to cut that back and forth. They open in Chrome’s side panel and Whale’s sidebar, so the page you’re reading stays right where it is.

There are four apps: Clip, Tasks, Calendar and Routine. Each is installed separately, so pick only the ones you need. Use one, or connect several to the same Tabple account.
The four apps
Clip: keep what you copy
Ever lost track of where you saw a good sentence? Clip keeps what you copy together with its source, and one click copies it again. Copy a favorite phrase with Alt+Shift+1, 2 or 3. Prompts get a name and live in a library. Add a variable like {{topic}} to a prompt and fill in the value when you copy it.

Tasks: today’s tasks in the sidebar
You don’t have to jump to another tab to check what’s due. The sidebar splits today’s tasks from overdue ones. Edit a title or due date right in the list, and finish tasks there too. To save the page you’re reading as a task, press Get current tab. The page title and link are filled in, and you just pick a project and a due date.

Calendar: how long until the next meeting
Ever noticed a meeting only when it was about to start? Calendar lists today’s events in order and shows the time left until the next one in large type. You get a reminder 5, 10 or 15 minutes before, and you can set quiet hours. If an event has a Google Meet, Zoom or Tabple Meet link, you can join right away.

Routine: habits and a 30-second journal
Check off your daily routines, and undo a tap if you got it wrong. You can see at a glance how many of the last 7 days you did them. At the end of the day, leave a 30-second journal note about what went well today and what to try tomorrow. Whatever you were writing is saved on this device, so you can pick it up after closing the window.

Start without logging in
The first time you open an app, you choose between “Use on this device” and “Connect Tabple account”. If you stay on this device, your records live only in that browser. The limits are a little smaller there.
Clip: 10 recent items and 1 shortcut. Connected: 30, 3, and saving to Tabple memos
Tasks: 20 tasks on this device. Connected: tasks from the projects assigned to you
Calendar: 10 events on this device. Connected: today’s and tomorrow’s events from your Tabple account
Routine: 3 routines and 7 journal entries. Connected: routines and activity saved in Tabple
Logging in doesn’t upload what’s on this device by itself. You choose the tasks, events and routines you want to copy over. All four apps can download your records as a file and import them back when you need to.
What it reads and what it sends
Here is what the extensions handle, with nothing hidden. The privacy policy lists it app by app.
Connecting an account is your choice. Until you choose it, the extension doesn’t read your Tabple login. You can disconnect any time in the app settings.
Nothing goes anywhere except tabple.com. There are no ads or analytics tools either.
Tasks reads only when you press the button, and only the current tab’s title and link. It doesn’t read the page itself.
Reminders have limits too. Calendar reminders only ring while the browser is open and notifications are allowed on your computer. If the computer is asleep, I can’t promise they arrive on time. A reminder that shows up long after its time isn’t sent.
Where to get them
They’re free on desktop Chrome (version 120 or later) and Whale. On Whale, install the Whale Store version, which is built separately for the sidebar.
Clip: Chrome Web Store · Whale Store
Tasks: Chrome Web Store · Whale Store
Calendar: Whale Store (the Chrome Web Store version is coming)
Routine: Chrome Web Store · Whale Store
Screens and common questions are on the Tabple extensions page. They work on desktop only, not in mobile browsers. If something is awkward or you’d like a feature, tell me through the contact form.
